Capital Plastic’s Custom Museum Displays | Washington, D.C.

Capital Plastics contracted by the Smithsonian to design/build the latest exhibit, which allows visitors the chance to journey through the co-evolution of all types of butterflies and plants. Capital Plastics used 3-D AutoCAD drawings from the architect to turn the structure into a solid model of the entire building. Once the modeling of the building was complete, all of the 3Form panels were formed and trimmed on our 5-Axis CNC ensuring a perfect fit, with all of the components that were used to build the structure. After all the components were fabricated, the entire structure was preassembled off site and prepared for shipping to be installed at the Smithsonian.
